It's getting warm outside and that means it's time to have your Cabin Air Filter checked. Woody's Automotive Group Service will do a free cabin air inspection during your Oil Change. What is a cabin air filter? It filters the pollen and dust from coming into your vehicle through the vents. Pollen has been especially high so far this year so it's very important to make sure you get your air filter checked. If the filter becomes clogged it will cause bad air conditioning performance, and in the summer heat that's the last thing you want! If you aren't sure of when you last had your cabin air filter checked just give our service department a call at 1-800-930-5231 ext. 28 and they will schedule you for an appointment to bring your vehicle in. We service ALL makes and models!

This imposter is known in the technical world of antimalware combat as “Win32/FakePAV”. FakePAV is a rogue that displays messages that imitate Microsoft Security Essentials threat reports in order to entice the user into downloading and paying for a rogue security scanner. The rogue persistently terminates numerous processes such as Windows Registry Editor, Internet Explorer, Windows Restore and other utilities and applications. View the bellow screenshot of this terrible rogue virus, This is what the imposter looks like..eerily similar to the real thing, don' t you agree?

Fake Potential threat details:
Microsoft Security Essentials detected potential threats that might compromise your privacy or damage your computer. You need to clean your computer immediately to prevent the system crash.
Trojan-PSW.Win32.launch
HackTool:Win32/Welevate.A
Adware.Win32.Fraud
You should be careful when you see such faulty alerts, since they don’t come from real and legitimate Microsoft Security Essentials software. MSE (legitimate tool) doesn’t install any other programs and cannot bring any other executables into your system.
If you’ve noticed one of the examples of fake Microsoft Security Essential Alerts like the above screenshot, you should ignore its contents completely. Be very careful not to download any executables offered by this scam! Shut down this scary window and run a scan with the legitimate Microsoft Security Essentials Software. If you don't have anti-virus and have a windows operating system, check out the free Security Essentials Software available for download at the official windows site here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download

5/2/2013 10:11:24 AM - by Jessica LeverettRandall Gann, Service Manager, would like to give you a little fuel for thought on this fabulous Tuesday. We have all been asked to buy an extended warranty on something (microwave, tv, car). Most people turn it down thinking they will never use it and if the time comes they'll just buy a new item. Service contracts for vehicles here at Woody's Automotive Group provide peace-of-mind. How would you like to pay $1000 dollars to fix something that you could have gotten for $100. With the service contract that's all you would pay. It just makes things easier and more pleasant for you! We hope this information is helpful to you and remember to check back for more great tech tips from Randall next week! http://www.wowwoodys.com/forms/ask-a-tech/Kansas-City-MO-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram-RAM-Dealer?masterpage=secondary

4/23/2013 11:42:32 AM - by Jessica LeverettIt's Tuesday again! This week, service manager, Randall Gann says to
make sure your windshield wiper blades are in good condition. If they
are not, they will not be able to clear your windshield of snow, water,
dirt, etc.; therefore, making visibility very limited. The salt that is
put on the roads for icy/snow conditions and slushy snow can make
visibility even more difficult. Make sure your washer fluid has de-icer
and a streak free treatment in it to make clearing the windows a much
simpler job each morning! Come back next Tuesday for more helpful tips
from Randall Gann!
